"I thought before that journaling wasn't "my thing". I found it hard writing down what I hear from or what I want to say to the Lord. Maybe, because I felt like they had to be done "nicely and properly" - with correct tenses, grammar and all. But I realized that what was most important was that I remember our conversations together and feel renewed and strengthened by them. Creative Journaling is the answer to my prayer! I can draw, stamp around, make a collage out of whatever I heard God tell me. I find it enjoyable and in a way "liberating" to do my journal now. And looking through "all the art" makes it easier for me to recall His words and in a glance see my journey with Him throughout all these years!" - Dr. Marichu Pilapil
The Creative Faith Journaling Workshop facilitator will be papemelroti owner and artist Patricia "Patsy" Alejandro Paterno.
Patsy has been a pastoral leader for her ecumenical community, "Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon" (Joy of the Lord) for decades. She has conducted dozens of inspirational talks for schools and companies.
Patsy has been in the arts and crafts business since she was in her teens. Trained as an interior designer, she has been behind most of papemelroti's product lines and the shop's development since it's inception.
When she isn't busy managing the family chain of gift shops, she can often be found painting at their home's pocket garden.
