When the papemelroti siblings wanted their very own store, their dad didn't think the name "papemelroti" would work. After all, it was a difficult tongue twister! But because their mom and pop store Korben was made from their names "Corit" and "Benny", the children wanted their own names in the limelight!
This business started 59 years ago and despite all the ups and downs of the retail industry is still standing today (thankfully!) 🥳 We are indeed grateful for YOU who have stuck through thick and thin with us!
In case you didn't know, papemelroti stands for the first syllables of the 5 children of Corit and Benny Alejandro. PA is for Patsy, PE is for Peggy, MEL for Meldy, RO for Robert and TI is for Tina. This is in order of appearance!
An insider joke is that they wanted a spin-off business with the names of the pets! 😹
Today, this family business that has won the hearts of minds of Filipinos everywhere is so grateful for your support. It is jointly being run by the 3rd generation cousins and staff that have been so hardworking and loyal. We are indeed blessed with this papemelroti family!
This October is our Foundation month and we had a very successful workshop by The Crafter's Marketplace Manila attended by PE (Peggy), the "PE" of pa(pe)melroti.
