Make Your Own Coloring Book
30 Apr 2015
Materials:
pencil
drawing paper
cardstock
ruler
carbon paper
magazines or pictures
stapler
memo clips
permanent pen
HOW TO:
I found out that my friend liked to do coloring books with her niece, and when I looked for some coloring books, I couldn't find one that I liked. I decided to make one for her.
First I made a little book from some drawing paper and cardstock. I cut up the paper and cardstock for the cover to make a book the size of half a short piece of coupon bond.
This is the cover. I stapled the pages together. Simple! If you don’t have a stapler that can do the job, you can sew the pages together.
Here are the inside pages.
The cardstock I chose has a different print on the inside.
Next, I chose different pictures to trace on to the blank pages. I used carbon paper.
Here is the traced picture.
Another picture I traced.
After tracing, I went over the tracing with a permanent pen. I used a .4 Pigma Micron Pen. I made sure not to touch the tracing with my hand because I didn’t want to create smudges on the paper.
Here’s a finished page.
Making your own coloring books is a lot of fun! You can even search for pictures on the web of birds and make a bird coloring book, or houses, or whatever theme you like.
If you don’t want to trace or draw, you can find a lot of printables on the web.
