Advent is Here!
30 Nov 2019
Do you know that Christmas is not yet here? Yes we know that the Christmas season is the longest season (and the most favorite) celebrated in the Philippines. Still, it is good to note that December 1st marks the Advent Season and Christmas only begins on the eve of December 25th and ends on the Baptism of the Lord Jesus which falls on January 12, 2020.
Advent is a time of preparation. It is preparing ourselves not only for the coming of Christmas when we remember Jesus coming as a man to save the whole world from sin but to remember to Jesus promised to come again, this time as King of the whole universe.
We can view this season as a fun time to spend with family and friends but in a deeper way, we are invited by the whole Christian Church to commemorate this time as a time of grace and blessing.
Let's get into Advent the way the early Christians did. How? Let(s prepare for Jesus' coming. Anyone can do it!
